Hot Hearts Mission
"The appeal of Hot Hearts is that it brings a top quality conference to Small Town, USA. You do not have to travel to big cities like Dallas, Atlanta or Memphis. Hot Hearts is not a "cookie cutter" conference run by a committee based in New York City. It is coordinated by a local group of like-minded people that are in touch with the students in their neighborhood."
Getting Started - Host a Hot Hearts Event

If you have a passion to reach students for Christ, Hot Hearts is for you! But Hot Hearts is not an event that can be accomplished by you alone. Your first step to coordinating a Hot Hearts Conference in your region: Prayer!

Acknowledging the fact that what is effective in the west may not have the same effect in the south, each Hot Hearts Conference is coordinated by a Local Steering Committee (LSC). A LSC is most effective when composed of a group of individuals who are like-minded in their desire to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Becoming a member of a LSC is a task that should not be taken lightly; a large number of people will come to rely on your God-given gifts and talents. Coordinating a Hot Hearts Conference is a cooperative effort that takes a community vision to see the lost come to a saving knowledge of Christ.

Each LSC may be comprised of as few as five or as many as fifteen members. Responsibilities include contracts, security, registration, finance, marketing, programming, publicity, accommodations, universities and hospitality. These areas of responsibility are some of the key areas but this list is by no means all inclusive of the many options of including local ministers and lay-people. One existing committee has fifteen members and utilizes approximately 150 volunteers during the conference. This is definitely a community event.

One of the most commonly asked questions is, "How much money would it take to get started?" Each situation is unique. Most artists (speaker, worship, and concert) will want a deposit before signing a contract. Often times that deposit is 25 to 50 percent of the total contract price. A reasonable start-up budget for the artists could range from $5,000 - $7,000. Other expenditures like publicity and mailings, lighting, sound and production are often times somewhat negotiable. Some companies are willing to complete the work and defer payment until registration fees are received. When considering a total budget for a conference there are many factors that should be contemplated. These factors may limit a budget to approximately $10,000 or they may cause a budget to be as large as $75,000. But fervent prayer will always result in a clear understanding of how large or small a conference budget should be.
